Answers to the questions we hear most.
Whether you're a health plan evaluating our network or a provider ready to join, here's what you need to know — no phone call required.
For Health Plans
BSN partners with commercial, Medicare Advantage, Medicaid, CHIP, and employer-sponsored health plans. Whether you are a large regional carrier or a specialty plan, our network is designed to serve your members effectively.
BSN offers a turnkey onboarding process. Most plans are fully operational — with credentialed providers, data integrations, and reporting in place — within 60–90 days of contract execution.
Yes. Your data belongs to you. BSN provides full transparency with live claims visibility and real-time access to all member and provider records within our shared platform.
BSN uses an NCQA-certified Credentials Verification Organization (CVO) to manage all credentialing and re-credentialing, typically completing the process in under 30 days. We also perform ongoing network monitoring and produce required reporting for state and federal agencies.
It means health plans get a fully credentialed behavioral and substance abuse network — outpatient through free-standing inpatient — without building or maintaining the infrastructure themselves. BSN handles contracting, credentialing, provider relations, and compliance on your behalf.
Yes. BSN's TelePsychiatry program provides around-the-clock access to board-certified psychiatrists for members at extreme risk of harming themselves or others, with response times of 4–12 hours depending on urgency level.
BSN's interactive GeoSpatial tool lets plans search and filter providers by county, zip code, specialty, age group, service setting, license type, gender, and language — in real time. Results can be exported to support network adequacy filings with state and federal regulators.
For Providers
BSN credentialing includes individual practitioners and group practices across behavioral health and substance abuse — including psychiatrists, psychologists, licensed clinical social workers, licensed mental health counselors, licensed marriage and family therapists, and substance abuse counselors, among others.
Our NCQA-certified CVO partner completes credentialing and re-credentialing in under 30 days — significantly faster than industry averages.
No. One contract with BSN grants access to multiple payer agreements. This is one of the biggest advantages of joining our network — you handle the paperwork once, and BSN manages relationships with each plan on your behalf.
Yes. Every BSN provider is assigned a dedicated representative who answers the phone directly — no automated queues or support tickets. Your representative handles credentialing questions, billing concerns, training, and day-to-day issues.
BSN offers a practitioner training library, workflow guidance, and hands-on onboarding support. We keep resources current as payer requirements evolve so your team is always up to date.

For Cruise Lines
Telepsychiatry for cruise lines is a 24/7 remote mental health service that connects onboard medical teams with board-certified psychiatrists and ARNPs. It enables real-time evaluation, diagnosis, and treatment of mental health incidents at sea, helping protect passengers, support crew, and maintain safe operations.
When a mental health incident occurs, onboard staff perform an initial medical assessment and escalate urgent cases to a telepsychiatry provider. A licensed psychiatrist connects remotely to evaluate the individual and guide next steps such as monitoring, treatment, or disembarkation if necessary.
Telepsychiatry platforms use enterprise-grade security, including encryption, secure cloud infrastructure, and strict access controls to protect patient data and maintain confidentiality.
Yes. With access to a large network of psychiatrists and ARNPs, telepsychiatry programs can support multiple vessels simultaneously and handle concurrent incidents across fleets.
